A multicentre trial is only as consistent as its least-prepared site. We qualify each site against the imaging protocol — equipment, sequences, parameters and personnel — so that a scan acquired in one country is comparable to one acquired in another.
Qualification is not a one-time gate. WIDEN supports phantom checks, test transfers and continuous monitoring throughout the study, so drift is caught and corrected while the trial is still running, not at database lock.
